Driving through mid-July Iowa on Interstate 35, the cornfields are deep and green. Closer in, purple and yellow wildflowers blur the highway’s edge. My peripheral vision becomes Iowa 35. It is a fragment of a journey: simplified, clarified, and expanded. Sold.
